Why it’s important: LEO PNT has enormous potential to provide similar services as MEO PNT but with greater performance and greater resilience.

What else to know:

Xona, Trustpoint, (both RNT Foundation members) and some others are building businesses to provide LEO PNT.
It looks like the EU might be planning to provide LEO PNT to the public for free. – Which does not necessarily invalidate the business case for commercial LEO PNT providers.
The U.S. government seems like it is letting the commercial sector take the lead rather than developing its own system. Perhaps the government will buy a commercial company or contract for exclusive services.
